Broadcasts let you send email campaigns to groups of contacts. Perfect for newsletters, announcements, promotions, and keeping your audience engaged.

Creating a Broadcast

Start a New Campaign

  1. Navigate to CRM → Broadcasts
  2. Click New Broadcast
  3. Configure your campaign:
    • Campaign name (internal reference)
    • Subject line
    • From name and email
    • Content

Campaign Details

Field Description
Name Internal campaign name
Subject Email subject line
From Name Sender display name
Reply-To Where replies go
Content Email body (HTML or plain text)

Selecting Recipients

All Contacts

Send to your entire contact list.

Filtered Contacts

Target specific segments:

  • By Tag — Contacts with specific tags
  • By Source — Where the contact came from
  • By Activity — Recent engagement level
  • By Custom Field — Any custom field value

Exclude Contacts

Remove specific contacts:

  • Unsubscribed contacts (automatic)
  • Specific tags
  • Recent email recipients

Email Content

Using Templates

  1. Click Use Template
  2. Browse your template library
  3. Select a template
  4. Customize for this campaign

Rich Text Editor

The editor supports:

  • Formatting (bold, italic, lists)
  • Images and media
  • Links and buttons
  • Variables (personalization)

Personalization Variables

Insert dynamic content:

Hi {{first_name}},

Thanks for being a valued customer since {{created_date}}.

Available variables:

  • {{first_name}} — Contact's first name
  • {{last_name}} — Contact's last name
  • {{email}} — Contact's email
  • {{company}} — Company name
  • {{created_date}} — When they joined

Fallback Values

Handle missing data:

Hi {{first_name|there}},

If first_name is empty, uses "there" instead.

Preview and Test

Preview Mode

See how your email looks:

  1. Click Preview
  2. View desktop and mobile layouts
  3. Check personalization renders correctly

Send Test Email

  1. Click Send Test
  2. Enter test email address
  3. Review the actual email
  4. Make adjustments as needed

Sending Options

Send Now

Immediately send to all recipients.

Schedule

Send at a specific date and time:

  1. Click Schedule
  2. Select date and time
  3. Choose timezone
  4. Confirm scheduling

Optimal Time

Let the system choose the best time based on historical engagement data.

Real-Time Tracking

After sending, track:

See who opened your email and when:

Duplicate Campaign

Reuse successful campaigns:

  1. Open the campaign
  2. Click Duplicate
  3. Modify content as needed
  4. Send to a new audience

Archive Campaigns

Clean up your campaign list:

  1. Select campaigns
  2. Click Archive
  3. View archived campaigns in the filter

Subject Lines

  • Keep under 50 characters

Content

  • Remove bounced emails
  • Re-engage inactive contacts
  • Respect unsubscribes immediately

All broadcasts automatically include:

  • Unsubscribe link (required)
  • Physical address (required by law)
  • Preference center link

Troubleshooting

Low Open Rates

  • Test different subject lines
